-> ABOUT ARCHIVED FILES ON THIS DISK <-

We have now completley stopped Power Packing source code on all future
Amoszines and Supplement disks as it is causing new users a lot of
hassle and in turn causing me hassle trying to explain what they have
to do. Whilst pondering over a solution, Andy Dobinson rang me to
tell me about a neat routine he wrote to Powerpack all the source into
one file that could be de-crunched from AZ. It was great except it had
a few drawbacks like having to re-load AZ afterwards and the overall
compression rate was low compared to my favourite crunching method,
LHA. Anyway Andy's routine spawned the idea in my little brain of
using LHA from within Amoszine, it would be great, mega compression
rates and an extremely simple de-archiving process without leaving
AZ or shutting it down, also the user could select any single .LHA
file rather than the lot in one go. All that would be required was
a disk with enough space on it. So I did it and couldn't believe how
simple it all was. I used the filemaster.Amos routine from AZ 1 to
run and supply LHA with the CLI parameters and that was it really.
I showed this to Co-Ed Lee Bamber and he waved his magic Amos wand
and came up with a cool AZ interface, press F10 to take a look at it.
Cheers Lee and Andy!
